Control Officers do pull people over for texting and talking on cell phones. I live in WA state and it’s a initially offense if you are talking on the phone/texting so if cops see you then they will pull you over. That’s why I try not to use my cell phone when I’m pouring but now and again I do but I never text because that is perilous and you have to look down when texting. So you can cause an accident not paying attention to the road but when I’m talking on the phone I’m watching the road. In my state talking on a cell phone used to be a secondary offense which means they can’t pull you over unless you were speeding or doing something else that’s illegal but now they can pull you over if they even see you with a cell phone. So Control Officers do pull people over and give tickets but they can’t get everybody and it’s up to people to stop texting and talking on their cell phones. I don’t reflect there would be that many fatalities because most people that are texting are doing it in stop and go traffic so they have time to text but if they were pouring at high speeds or anything over 35mph they would have to mind the road.

cops do it also. that is why they do not see when others do it.

Its already being dine but the problem is that they need to increase the fines so that people will get the huge picture…

Control do ticket people for texting/talking even as pouring, but only in certain states. Some states have not adopted laws against texting/talking even as pouring, which is why people still use their cell phones even as pouring in certain states.
