It could soon cost you more if you get trapped talking on the cell phone, lacking a hands-free device, while уου′re pouring.

A bill is coming up for Governor Jerry Brown’s signature to raise the fee for initially-time offenders from $208 to $328.

Repeat offenders could be fined $100, or up to $528 with fees, and get one point added to their pouring record.

A new law would also apply to people on bicycles. Tickets for riding a bike while talking on a cell phone would be $20 for a first offense and $50 for additional tickets.
