what are some advantages of using a hands-free cell phone while driving?
I аm doing a paper on cell phones and pouring and need to support reasoning for hands-free being safer. I appreciate any hеƖр thanks!
thanks you guys are giving very helpful аnѕwеrѕ!

The largest single protection advantage is that by using a cell phone hands-free, you have both hands available for pouring. Secondarily, if you are using your phone lacking a hands-free device, you are always juggling your tasks, and if for some reason you need to use both hands for something, you end up land the phone between your shoulder and your head by tipping your head, which is highly unsafe, because it ruins your depth perception and your peripheral vision. People have a misguided thought that they can "multitask". But, what they are really doing when they are talking and pouring is taking a finite amount of attention capacity and spreading it over more and more tasks. Even as they reflect they are doing all the tasks well, in reality they are not. Each task your body does, both voluntary and involuntary, requires brain power, so if you can eliminate tasks, your brain has more attention available for other tasks. So, the simple act of reducing the workload of your brain by eliminating the activities of land the phone to your ear and entering phone numbers by hand reduces the load on your brain and makes it available for more vital tasks, like not rear-end me on the freeway.
The only advantage is that you avoid being ticketed for pouring even as land a cell phone. There is no evidence of any protection advantage. There are extensive studies that show that drivers using a hands-free cell phone are just as likely to have accidents as drivers land cell phones are. Additionally, my mother did not know that you are supposed to connect the hand-free kit to the phone before you start pouring, tried to do it even as pouring, and e-mailed me to say that trying to connect the hands-free kit even as pouring is even more perilous than using the phone lacking the kit.
- You can have both hands on the wheel so are in more control of the vehicle.
- You are not in any danger of dropping the phone so won’t panic and look down to look for it.
It might be safe in that it would keep you safe from a ticket in states where land a phone even as pouring is illegal. But studies, by reputable experts, have shown that the act of carrying on a phone conversation is inherently unsafe, regardless of the fact that a hands free device is used.
Despite the studies showing that you are still distracted and its still unsafe there are advantages to hands free.
1. 2 hands on the wheel gives much better control over the steering in the case of an emergency. With a manual transmission you may find people land the wheel with a knee even as shifting with their free hand. Obviously unsafe.
2. eyes on the road. Typically hands free devices let you answer and hang up a call lacking each looking down at a phone or trying to find it if its dropped on the floor or between seats.
Basically persons are the two huge ones. Pick up a bluetooth ($20) and give it a try, you will notice how much simpler it is to drive and will probably get some excellent thoughts.
